Dallas Burlesque Festival-2012

Dallas Burlesque Festival raffles artwork, shines spotlight on Chiari Malformation

For the past four years, “Burlesque Week” has hit Dallas in early February, culminating with the Dallas Burlesque Festival at the House of Blues on Saturday night. Shannon Terry attended the 2011 show, and was honored at the 2012 performances, ending Saturday night, February 4.

The lovely women of The Ruby Revue and the Dallas Burlesque Festival once again have used their platform, to shine a spotlight away from themselves, increasing awareness of Chiari malformation, and raising money for the cause, this time with a raffle, which raised almost $400 for Shannon’s Hope Foundation. This is quite an honor for this new organization, representing the first external funds to flow in to support efforts to increase knowledge in the medical community, and drive early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
